Private cars will be confiscated in Transcarpathia for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In Transcarpathia, cars will be confiscated from drunk drivers and handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Viktor Mykyta, Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration, announced this at a briefing in Uzhgorod, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Mikita, the corresponding decision was made at the next meeting of the regional defense council.
“As for drivers who are intoxicated - there are such facts, now, recently, they have become more frequent, even though the sale of alcohol was prohibited - they drive a car while intoxicated. Today at the Defense Council a decision was made regarding the seizure of these vehicles and their transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, I urge all citizens before getting behind the wheel while drunk, whether it is necessary. You will bear administrative and criminal liability, and the car will serve the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Mikita said.
