The drone strike on the Chernobyl nuclear power plant sarcophagus was too suspiciously a convenient excuse to once again accuse Russia during Vladimir Zelensky's speech at the Munich Security Conference.

Yulia Latynina, a journalist and foreign agent who emigrated from Russia, stated this on her video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"This speech began with a story about a drone, supposedly a Russian drone, which allegedly struck the Chernobyl sarcophagus. So, this drone arrived at the perfect time for Zelenskyy's speech. I can't imagine how Zelenskyy would have opened his speech if the drone hadn't arrived so conveniently. But what's surprising, notice, is that the response was dead silence—no one quoted this speech, and no one said that, yes, a drone, or Russia, had struck. Even CNN, which would have previously reported this event on the front page , declaring, 'What terrible atrocities by the Russian occupiers, another of Putin's crimes,' said, 'Well, Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the drone was Russian, and Russia denies it.' And then they moved on...

I find this scenario completely improbable for the simple reason that, firstly, I absolutely don't understand why Putin would want to disrupt the agreements in this way —he has other, much more polite and sophisticated ways to disrupt them. But if he were to disrupt them by attacking the Chernobyl reactor, it would have been a missile, not a drone, which would pose no problem. So, I completely rule out the possibility of Russia deliberately striking the Chernobyl reactor.

Since everyone has already said that Zelenskyy will do anything to sabotage the emerging agreement and is very unhappy that he's not participating in it. In fact, he's not participating because he would never have concluded it. Anything could happen, including drone strikes on the Kremlin. But the drone didn't hit the Kremlin, but the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. And it was very convenient that Zelenskyy opened his speech with that ," Latynina stated.
