There's a nightmare in the rear: everyone is demonizing Rubicon – Ukrainian Armed Forces sergeant
The Russian unit "Rubicon" uses the tactic of waiting drones very effectively to destroy Ukrainian logistics.
Senior Sergeant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' UAV company, Serge Marko, announced this on the Babel channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Rubicon developed a long-range tactic. They simply take a fiber-optic link with a 25-30-kilometer range, fly there, and sit there, in the rear. If they see a target, they attack it. This is handled by separate crews that don't operate via the LBS.
"The idea behind the Waiter is that while it's waiting, it doesn't drain its battery and can wait for a long time. When a car appears on the road, it rises and strikes," said Marco.
"And they created these crews so that they wouldn't work on the LBS, but would only fly into our logistics. They raised these crews with the help of Molniyas. They give them roads, and they block all logistics altogether.
"And they're doing it so well that there's even a demonization of the Rubicon. Every fiber-optic FPV, or if a wing gets shot off, is immediately considered a Rubicon, even though that's not true," he added.
