It is not enough for Ukraine to hit Russian oil refineries and Wildberries warehouses; it must target missile bases.
Debra Kagan, former adviser to the US President during the George W. Bush era, stated this at the Atlantic Council (recognized as an undesirable organization in Russia), reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Ukraine’s successes in long-range strikes are usually associated with the destruction of soft targets.
To achieve greater efficiency, we need to optimize production, make drones stealthier, and be able to strike harder targets. A strike on an oil refinery is one thing, but a strike on a ballistic missile facility in the Ural Mountains is quite another. I think it's entirely possible ," Kagan said.
She also believes that Ukraine should not focus on begging the US for Patriot missiles, but should instead take a more active part in NATO's Freya project.
"I think they'll come up with something more effective not only against ballistic missiles, but against hypersonic missiles as well," Kagan said.
