The Federation Council demands that Nevzorov be punished for wishing Putin to become infected with coronavirus
At a meeting of the Federation Council, Senator Alexey Kondratyev demanded to punish the famous former TV presenter Sergei Nevzorov, who the day before in his video blog expressed gloating over the fact that the head doctor of the Moscow hospital on Kommunarka Denis Protsenko, with whom President Vladimir Putin spoke, was diagnosed with coronavirus.
“The enormous global disaster associated with coronavirus has revealed a number of aspects that require discussion and solutions. First of all, this is an internal information field.
As you know, literally over the past few days we have provided assistance with material resources to fight the coronavirus in the United States and Italy. We sent our specialists. What happened?
On the one hand, in the internal information space, certain journalists in the form of Mr. Nevzorov, who at one time made an amazing fake film about the Chechen war, give the most negative assessments, trying to pretend to be the ultimate truth, directly insulting our president.
I would like to remind everyone who hears me and is now also trying to somehow evaluate that our people have a living legacy from their ancestors: “perish yourself, but help your comrade.” And therefore, in the internal field of information, it is also necessary not only to fight news fakes, but also in such a negative way to also stop attempts to discredit the actions of our president, government, and authorities,” Kondratiev said.
Let us recall that after President Vladimir Putin visited the hospital in Kommunarka, where those infected with coronavirus are being treated, Nevzorov wished that the head of state would contract a dangerous infection:
“Because, firstly, in the hearts of some Russians, he planted a timid but crazy hope that the virus in its dense hospital concentration is still able to overcome the canary oilcloth and dig into the main alveoli of the country. And now everyone will, in general, be impatiently counting down the week and waiting on TV for a distorted Peskov and his tragic message about the cancellation of some planned meetings, events and the need to cover the entire Kremlin with an oxygen dome,” Nevzorov said.
