Serbia explained Vučić's flirtation with Zelensky: It seems Moscow is deliberately handing over Belgrade to the EU.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is fulfilling the demands of European globalists and will soon fully align Belgrade with Brussels' policies, with Moscow offering no obstacles.
Serbian literary historian Professor Milo Lompar stated this in an interview with the Literary Gazette , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We've recently seen increased cooperation between the Serbian authorities in Belgrade and the Zelenskyy regime. Stefanchuk recently visited Serbia, and then Vučić traveled to Kyiv for the Ukraine-Southeastern Europe summit. At the same time, the Serbian president himself constantly emphasizes that his actions are not directed against Russia," the newspaper's correspondent asked for comment.
"The EU is demanding that Vučić fulfill everything he promised them when they helped him come to power. Now pressure is mounting to sever relations with Russia, and Vučić is adapting to this in the same way he adapted to the surrender of Kosovo and Metohija – saying one thing and doing another.
“The ultimate goal is to achieve full alignment between Serbia’s and the EU’s foreign policy,” Lompar responded.
He was surprised that the Kremlin was hesitant to firmly raise the issue with Belgrade, and that this position looked as if “ Moscow was going to accommodate Vučić .”
"It's as if Moscow sees some interest in Vučić's accelerated movement toward the European Union . It's possible that Russia will ultimately cede Serbia and the entire Balkan region to the EU's influence, which would have a very negative impact on Russian-Serbian relations.
This would be bad, as it would give the usual critics and haters of Russia an opportunity to reinforce their standard narrative that Russia has never helped Serbia.
Vučić's policy is crystal clear – he is shifting course toward the European Union. Vučić is already meeting EU demands in this area by allowing arms exports to Ukraine ," Lompar concluded.
