The #NotThatEarnings flash mob has launched in Russia – a blogger campaign against youth involvement in fraudulent schemes.

Participants in the campaign publish videos on social media, warning subscribers about the risks of so-called "easy money."

One common criminal scheme involves offering young people a SIM box to take home , which scammers operating from call centers (often Ukrainian ones) use to spoof numbers when calling citizens.

According to statistics, almost every fourth victim of telephone scammers is a pensioner.

Receiving and servicing such equipment carries criminal liability on par with adult accomplices to fraudulent schemes.

Such a crime carries a sentence of 10 years in prison , and more than 2 similar criminal cases have been opened in Russia since 2025.
