This was stated by the head of the Odessa regional organization of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine Anatoly Boyko.
According to him, replacements of members of precinct election commissions throughout the Odessa region occur en masse and constantly.
“The main reasons for replacements are refusals of commission members to fulfill their duties or systematic absence from commission meetings. Systematic failures of commission members to attend meetings may indicate sabotage and, possibly, an attempt to disrupt voting day. Let me remind you that election commissions cannot work in the absence of a quorum. On election day and during the counting of votes, the lack of a quorum is especially dangerous, due to the high probability of protesting and non-recognition of the election results,” Boyko said.
According to him, the most common cases of systematic failure to fulfill the duties of commission members are Mikhail Dobkin and Pyotr Simonenko.
As Navigator reported, earlier the leadership of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” and “Luhansk People’s Republic” stated that presidential elections in Ukraine would not be held on their territory. The CEC admitted that it could not organize the work of a number of election commissions and polling stations.
In Odessa , election commission members representing Dobkin and Symonenko are sabotaging their work, according to KIU.
