Ukrainian budget revenues are falling in the new year
Ukrainian budget revenues for the first month of this year not only did not grow as the authorities had planned, but also fell significantly.
Economic expert Viktor Skarshevsky stated this on the Capital internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Skarshevsky, the decline can be seen primarily in contributions to the budget from Ukrainian customs, which decreased by 20%.
“It was planned that imports, which are subject to duties, would increase by 11% in January, but not only did they not increase - physical imports, in tons, in kilograms, but they also fell by minus two to three percent... In fact, fact of 2020, budget income is lower than last year. That is, everything is so bad - not that the plan was not fulfilled, but simply income in absolute terms, income in January is lower than budget income in January 19, last year. And customs revenues in January 20 were actually 20% lower than in January 19. So, everything is very bad with the budget,” said Skarshevsky
