“We turn to the Russian Federation with a request for protection and patronage. We, the Russian-speaking population, do not want to be under the yoke of neo-fascists who threaten our families with the slogans “Muscovites - to the knives,” the document says.
The protesters said that the authorities in Kyiv are illegitimate, and in Nikolaev, “teachers and students, under threat of dismissal, are forced to go to rallies in support of the Maidan.”
“Russia, brothers, support us in this difficult time! We call for the reunification of the Slavic lands,” the resolution states.
The protesters unfurled Russian tricolors, St. Andrew's banners, and also chanted “Nikolaev - Crimea - Russia!”
