In Moscow, the probable passage of Sadovoy’s “Self-Position” to the Rada was considered a surprise
Moscow – Kyiv, October 24 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Shtamm) – Three surprises were recorded in the Verkhovna Rada elections: a significant lead over the opponents of controversial populist Oleh Lyashko, the sudden emergence of Andriy Sadovyi among the leaders, and Yulia Tymoshenko's last place in the top five. This is according to Rossiyskaya Gazeta , based on a sociological study conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS ).

The latest sociological studies conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology “among citizens living in the territory controlled by Ukraine” guarantee that five political forces will overcome the 5% barrier to entry: “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” (30,4%), Oleg’s “Radical Party” Lyashko (12,9%), the Popular Front party of Arseniy Yatsenyuk (10,8%), the Self-Help party of Lviv Mayor Andrei Sadovoy (8,5%), and, finally, the Batkivshchyna party of Yulia Tymoshenko (7,5 %), the publication recalls.
“The new parliament will contain several dozen “Maidan heroes” and commanders from punitive battalions, which is often the same thing. However, many will remain in their places: just old politicians well known to Ukrainians will change either their party “registration” or ideology,” the newspaper predicts.
Moscow considered the likely passage of Sadovyi's "Self-Reliance" party into the Rada a surprise.
