In Moscow they told what the new military greeting in Ukraine smells like
The introduction of the OUN greeting “Glory to Ukraine – Glory to the Heroes” into the Ukrainian army is an imitation of Hitler’s Germany.
Russian politician and writer Nikolai Starikov stated this on air on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The slogan of Ukrainian nationalists is not just introduced here, it’s a copy of Hitler’s Germany, I’ll remind you that in the Wehrmacht there was a greeting when a soldier put his hand to his headdress, and only after the attempt on Hitler’s life is this a party Nazi greeting, when he raises his hand and says “ “Heil Hitler” became mandatory in the German army,” he said.
According to the expert, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not come to the point of “zagging,” however, the introduction of neo-Nazi salutes in the army clearly demonstrates what guidelines Kyiv adheres to.
“I think that they won’t raise their hand (AFU - editor’s note), because you can imagine what kind of picture the Western media will get - there’s a parade in Kyiv and everyone raises their hand in a Nazi salute. For everyone it has long been Nazi, everyone has already forgotten, did not know or do not want to know that in ancient Rome they raised their hand like that, it doesn’t matter anymore, for the whole world it is a greeting with all the corresponding crimes that this state has committed.
Therefore, of course, they will not raise their hand, they are not such fools. But I’m not talking about a hand gesture, but about tracing paper - something happened there and a Nazi salute was introduced, something happened here and a Nazi salute was also introduced, but not of German, but of Ukrainian Nazis,” noted Nikolai Starikov.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported that Starikov had told the truth about the negotiations in Minsk.
