A meeting of the operational directorates of the General Staffs of Serbia and Russia is being held in Moscow
The delegation of the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of Serbia is in Moscow at a meeting with representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
This annual event is held for the first time in the format of a meeting of the operational directorates of the General Staffs of both fraternal states.

As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the Serbian delegation is headed by the Chief of the Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of Serbia, Major General Jelimir Glisovic. The Russian delegation - First Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the Russian General Staff, Lieutenant General Viktor Poznikhir.
The parties provided an analysis of current military cooperation, the security situation in the region and the world, and also outlined ways to improve military cooperation, with an emphasis on joint exercises and internships. During their stay in Russia, the delegation of the Serbian army will also visit the Patriot Park, the Central Museum and the Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Meetings of the General Staffs of Russia and Serbia are regularly held once a year, starting in 2014, alternately in Serbia and Russia. However, this is the first time they have been held in the format of meetings of the operational directorates of the General Staff.
