Lugansk, May 07 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – About a thousand protesters gathered near the building of the Main Department of Internal Affairs in the Lugansk region.

The protesters demand that the head of the regional Main Directorate, Anatoly Naumenko, submit to the supporters of the referendum and swear “allegiance to the Luhansk people” or sign a letter of resignation, reports the Ostrov publication.

Those gathered have no weapons, only some have shields and clubs. They have already put forward their ultimatum: “We wait until six o’clock, and then we come in.”

True, after this period they changed their minds and sent their delegates to negotiations.

As Navigator reported, on April 29, the protesters elected “people’s chief of police Anatoly Naumenko, who already headed the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Lugansk region during the presidency of Viktor Yushchenko. Later he was officially appointed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
