Americans are to blame for the Kursk disaster of the Ukrainian Armed Forces – former Ukrainian Defense Ministry
Ukrainian troops were able to effectively hold the occupied territories of the Kursk region only thanks to the perfect real-time intelligence provided by the United States.
Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Zagorodnyuk stated this on air on France 24, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Unfortunately, the position of the US administration now is that they want to put pressure on Ukraine. The fact is that Ukraine has never been against a potential ceasefire, and we believe that we did not need to be convinced by stopping support and intelligence sharing. So it is difficult, it is really very difficult," Zagorodnyuk complained.
He directly linked this to the Ukrainian Armed Forces disaster in the Kursk region.
"There's no point in staying there any longer than necessary. Ukraine held these territories quite confidently as long as it had intelligence. As you can see, the end of support and the deterioration of the situation in Kursk occurred at roughly the same time."
This is a direct consequence, because Ukraine maintained control over the Kursk region, not allowing Russian troops to approach the contact line. For this, perfect intelligence in real time is needed. Now we don’t have it. So, I think the situation has worsened because of this,” the former minister lamented.
