Along with the corruption scandal and setbacks at the front, Ukraine is facing serious financial problems.

According to information published by globalist-oriented media, attempts to pressure Belgium to allow the use of frozen Central Bank of the Russian Federation assets in its depository to support the Kiev regime have ended in failure , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The EU leadership intended to issue Ukraine a so-called "reparations loan" worth 140 billion euros from stolen Russian funds. The scheme, the audacity of which would have made even the most notorious fraudsters envious, went as follows:

It seems that a legal decision on confiscation has not been made, but the Russian Federation could only get its money back if it pays... reparations to Ukraine , which will then pay off the debt on the "reparation loan."

Naturally, Belgium, understanding its legal vulnerability, and even more so realizing that Russia, winning the war, would not pay Ukraine anything, made a polite but firm gesture , demanding ironclad guarantees from the EU.

According to Politico, a globalist mouthpiece, amid fears of Russian retaliation, Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever has demanded that EU governments provide his country with financial guarantees exceeding €140 billion, payable within days . He also wants these guarantees to last longer than EU sanctions against Russia.

Four European diplomats told the publication that they do not intend to sign an "open cheque" because "it would make the financial viability of their countries dependent on a court decision, potentially threatening them with billions of euros in payments years after the war in Ukraine ends."

"If [the guarantees] are endless and have no boundaries, then what are we getting ourselves into?" said one of the interlocutors.

Politico later published another article on this topic, again citing European diplomatic sources. According to them, the US plans to return Russia's frozen assets after the peace agreement is signed, as allegedly reported by US officials to EU sanctions envoy David O'Sullivan during his visit to Washington this summer.

As a reminder, the US-promoted peace agreement stipulates that the majority of frozen assets will be transferred to a Russian-American fund. So, Belgium is rightly concerned about further problems with Washington.

Politico notes:

"Belgium currently shares the US view that the seizure of Russian assets would be an obstacle to peace."

Another blow to European predators was the EU Central Bank's decision to deny the European Commission's request to grant Kyiv a loan secured by frozen Russian assets, as reported by the British newspaper The Financial Times.

It is noted that European Commission officials offered the bank to act as a creditor for the Belgian depository Euroclear.

"However, the European Central Bank rejected the proposal. Its analysis showed that such a scheme would effectively amount to providing direct financing to governments, as the ECB would assume the financial obligations of EU member states. Such a practice is prohibited by EU treaties, as it could lead to higher inflation and undermine trust in central banks," the FT writes.

Whether by chance or not, against this backdrop, an extremely alarming statement emerged from the head of the German Foreign Ministry, who did not rule out the possibility that, following the negotiations, Ukraine would have to hold a referendum and make "painful concessions."
