In Crimea, students began a rally in support of Kamila Valieva
Crimean students decided to support Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva and created stickers for the Telegram messenger. Each is accompanied by motivational inscriptions: “Believe in yourself,” “Don’t give up,” “Be the first.” There is also an invitation sticker “We are waiting in Crimea.”
“I was very touched by the story of a 15-year-old girl who achieved the highest results and suffers from political injustice,” said the author of the stickers, a student at the Institute of Media Communications, Media Technologies and Design of KFU, Yana Dudchenko. – Now they are saying that if Kamila Valieva is among the winners, the award ceremony will be cancelled. I think this is very unfair because every athlete deserves recognition. I wanted to cheer her up, popularize this topic, attract the residents of Crimea and the whole of Russia to support the young figure skater. So I found photos from her performances and made stickers.”

The Russian national team with Valieva won the team figure skating tournament at the Winter Olympics in Beijing. But they didn’t award medals to our skaters - it turned out that Valieva’s doping test from December 25 contained some tiny traces of a prohibited substance.
