Searches at the residence of Ernest Ibragimov and Oleg Fedorov continue. The FSB of Crimea reported that the search was being carried out as part of a criminal case. FSB investigators told relatives at the investigative sites that the detainees were charged under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Among those detained are activists of Crimean Solidarity and the Crimean Childhood project for children of political prisoners. “19 radicals were detained who, in addition to promoting ideology and recruiting new supporters, were planning to commit acts of sabotage and terrorism in the North Caucasus,” the FSB said.
During the searches, security forces discovered a cache with an RPK machine gun, an AKM assault rifle, cartridges and homemade explosives, as well as a “suicide belt” with destructive elements.
