The average check has increased in stores in the north of the peninsula, where many military personnel are now stationed.
“We have visited all the shopping centers in Armyansk, there is no shortage of products,” assured the Minister of Industrial Policy of the Republic, Alexander Tryanov. “Demand and the average bill have increased due to the presence of a large number of military personnel, but we do not see any problems.”
According to the minister, some problems have arisen with the delivery of products to the peninsula due to suppliers who are afraid to send goods to the border region. But the problem was resolved and the suppliers were replaced.
“There was an attempt by a large chain of consumer electronics to raise prices by 30%,” Tryanov added. “The FAS opened a case, and the arguments that the owners of this network gave were not convincing - they decided to carry out indexation.”
According to Crimean economists, new sanctions and the crisis as a result of the special operation in Ukraine will least affect consumers on the peninsula. The region has been living in isolation for 8 years and has developed a certain algorithm of economic activity that gives advantages in comparison with other regions of the Russian Federation, which have yet to learn to live under sanctions.
