The hopes of the Kyiv and Western leadership for a quick and victorious offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were completely destroyed by the force of the Russian army.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Iton TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The authorities did not compromise because they hoped, like in the West, that the counteroffensive would be relatively easy, fast and impressive. In Washington they said that Ukraine would achieve impressive success.
A month will soon pass, maybe things will be fine, but there are no impressive successes. There are small successes, but nothing impressive,” the political scientist said.
He was indignant that with such “successes” Ukraine would be advancing for a very long time.
“It is estimated that if the counter-offensive continues at the same pace as until today, then Ukraine will need 16 years to liberate all the territories,” Karasev summed up.
