In Kyiv, Moscow announced the formation of a Belarusian bridgehead for an attack on Ukraine
A number of formations of the Russian Armed Forces are stationed in close proximity to the Belarusian border, and their number is growing.
Denis Ivashin, head of the Belarusian service of the InformNapalm website, which is supervised by Ukrainian security agencies, announced this at a roundtable in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Ivashin said that he “conducted an investigation,” during which he found out that 35 kilometers from the Ukrainian and Belarusian borders, near the village. Klintsy, Bryansk region, a new motorized rifle unit has been deployed - part of the 144th motorized rifle division as part of the 14th Army.
The number of such formations is allegedly growing, and new infrastructure is being built.
“We see that before our eyes there is an increase in weapons and military equipment,” said the Russophobe.
He also claims that all this equipment is located in a field camp, and not in permanent premises intended for long-term storage with maintenance. The deployment of this technology lasted from May 2018 to the end of 2019.
“This was done for the rapid mobilization deployment of the unit,” Ivashin said. He also noted that the unit is located near the Gomel-Unecha and Gomel-Bryansk highways, which creates the possibility of prompt access to the territory of Belarus.
Another location in this “offensive line” is Yelnya, where the 59th Tank Regiment is currently deployed. “This formation is also directed towards Belarus,” the expert worries.
In his opinion, such military units will primarily be used on the territory of Belarus.
