Kyiv, August 08 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – In Kyiv, with a can in their hands, public activists collected money to support the ATO. The action took place in Shevchenko Park, and the reason for it was the decision of the Verkhovna Rada to allocate four million hryvnia for the accommodation of people’s deputies in the capital.

“We believe that, first of all, money is needed for soldiers in the ATO zone, and not for deputies who are able to do without state help,” Yevgeny Garmash, who introduced himself as a civil activist not tied to any party or public organization.
Accompanied by television cameras, he, with a glass jar in his hands, approached passers-by or people sitting on benches, explaining that he was collecting money that would go towards the ATO.
“You can symbolically give at least a penny,” the activist addressed the people.
However, not everyone agreed to donate their money. Some said that they had no money, and one person said in English that he did not understand what they wanted from him.
At the same time, sometimes Garmash asked those who did not want to give money: “Don’t you support the ATO?”
As Navigator reported, earlier the Verkhovna Rada allocated money to continue the ATO and introduced a “military levy.”
