Kyiv is alarmed: "Protecting bridges is more difficult than protecting power plants."
Ukraine does not have a system to protect bridges across the Dnieper from Russian attacks.
Yuriy Korolchuk, co-founder of the Kyiv Institute of Energy Strategies, announced this on the Superposition video channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The ongoing attacks on the Southern Bridge in Kyiv were brought up on air .
"Bridges are one of the key questions, by the way, which remains unanswered. What should we do with them? That is, how are they protected?" Korolchuk worries.
He emphasizes that the priority in Ukraine is the protection of energy facilities, and that bridges are guarded by " something with a Mosin rifle ."
"I wouldn't say they're in swarms, but if more than three to five are flying at a target, then that's essentially a swarm . And there's been no answer to the question since 22 about what to do with the bridges and how to protect them. We see the Russian side's position; since 22, the question has been that these bridges along the Dnieper should be destroyed."
And I don’t have an answer on how to protect them, because this is an infrastructure facility of a much higher level than even the same power plant ,” the speaker said.
Korolchuk believes that bridges could be protected “ only by an air defense system, but we see that we have problems with it and a shortage .”
