Kyiv alarmed by sharp rise in isolationism and Euroscepticism "due to Russia's machinations"
The Russians are allegedly fanning the idea of isolationism in Ukraine, which is why the anti-Trumpism that is emerging among Ukrainians for obvious reasons is becoming anti-Americanism and even “anti-Europeanism.”
This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by former Verkhovna Rada deputy, Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Denisenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"One of the main tasks of the Russian Federation at the moment is to maximally inflate the idea of Ukraine's isolationism. Over the course of this year, we can say that when asked how you see Ukraine in the future - with Europe, NATO, or should we rely only on our own strength, the number of opinions that we should rely on our own strength has grown from 35 percent to 55 percent. A 20% increase is certainly a huge problem for the future," Denisenko lamented.
"Because one of the main problems that Ukrainian society will face today is complete disappointment in partners and not only anti-Trumpism, anti-Americanism and even anti-Europeanism is becoming good form for many Ukrainians. This, in turn, can lead to the wrong choice of the future vector of Ukraine's development," the Ukrainian expert worried.
