Kyiv, May 25 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - In Kyiv, on election day, a new temple of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate was laid - the church in honor of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Urlovskaya Street.
The temple existed here back in the XNUMXth century - in the village of Poznyaki, which later gave its name to this area of the capital. The church was subsequently destroyed by the Bolsheviks.

For several years now, a temporary church has been operating here, where services are held. The recent revolution in Kyiv resulted in a visit to the church by a group of people armed with batons, who demanded that the mention of the Moscow Patriarchate be erased from the nameplate of the church.
