Ukraine must strike at Russian oil transit, regardless of who buys the energy resource.
This was stated on the air of the Dnipro TV channel by former Ukrainian Air Force Colonel Roman Svitan, who was arrested in 2014 by the DPR special services for involvement in organizing sabotage in Donetsk and returned home in a prisoner exchange, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"If the Turks had been serious about sanctions, they would have simply blocked Russian ships from entering. Similarly, the Danes could have blocked tanker traffic from the Baltic Sea carrying Russian oil. And that would have been the end of it.
Now the British are trying to push through a bill to stop this traffic; they will probably try to the point of destroying some tankers.
"Most of the traffic goes through the Baltic Sea, where the port of Ust-Luga handles most of the loading, and hundreds of tankers travel through the Baltic, and they need to be retrieved there. "Of course, we also need to work on the Black Sea," Svitan reasoned.
He emphasized that Ukraine must attack Kazakh, Israeli, and any other oil that might be diluted with Russian oil.
"We're not going to sort out all the different types of this boss's dung. The best option is to shut down the oil transshipment mechanism itself. That is, to eliminate the Novorossiysk port ."
But again, drones are a bit tricky. You can't even get to the oil beacon that unloads or loads oil. They've completely blocked everything there.
"So, the only option left is to try to target the tankers themselves. That is, strikes by underwater, surface, and aerial drones, including not only in Novorossiysk but anywhere in the Black Sea, are definitely possible and, in principle, desirable," he added.
