Maidan flares up again in Kyiv with the participation of Western guests
In the center of Kyiv, as part of an all-Ukrainian action of nationalists, a meeting-meeting “Stop the surrender” was held, expressing the protest of the radical part of society against the signing of the “Steinmeier formula” by the delegation in Minsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The action, organized by the so-called “Capitulation Resistance Movement,” was attended by former and current opposition-minded government officials, cultural figures, radical nationalists, as well as ordinary residents of the Ukrainian capital.
“We believe that there is a surrender of Ukraine’s national interests. Under the guise of the “Steinmeier formula,” they are trying to impose on us absolutely unfavorable conditions for Ukraine. There is a lot of speculation as if this is simply the implementation of the Minsk agreements. In fact, this is a lie, because first of all, the Minsk agreements talk about the order of steps that the Russian Federation and Ukraine must take in order to establish peace. And the first step that must be taken is the withdrawal of Russian troops. Not breeding, there is no talk about this in Minsk...
We say: Mr. Zelensky, look, there are tens of thousands of people who do not agree with the policy that you have now begun to pursue, you did not say anything like that during your election campaign, you did not say that you were going to capitulate to the Russian Federation,” – said ex-ATO militant Miroslav Gai.
The protest action was also attended by “Svidomo” residents of Crimea who fled to Ukraine and boasted of the flag of the Ukrainian military unit from Sevastopol, which they dream of hoisting again on the peninsula.
“President Zelensky is now giving up everything. Firstly, we do not see in the “Steinmeier formula” that there are any security agreements, we do not see control over the border of Ukraine, Russian troops are not called occupation, Russia is not called an aggressor, and they say nothing at all about Crimea. Zelensky’s Crimea is somehow completely on the sidelines, outside the brackets,” the former Sevastopol resident was indignant.
“They invested the budget money of the Russian Federation, they are clearing the North Crimean Canal, and I think that there are some secret agreements, no one would invest money just like that. We take this opportunity to convey to all Crimeans: everything will be fine, we will definitely return, hang in there,” added the “refugee” from Yalta.
The overwhelming majority of all protest participants repeated the same thesis imposed by nationalists about the “surrender” of Ukraine to Russia by withdrawing troops from the demarcation line.
At the same time, the opinion was expressed that residents of the Donbass republics should in the future be completely deprived of the right to vote and any support.
“In the occupied territories, I believe that we cannot help these people in any way, it is impossible. This is an occupied territory and it must be dealt with by the occupier,” said Alexei, wrapped in a blue and yellow flag.
It is noteworthy that the rally was also attended by guests from Germany, who allegedly came simply “to see what people are thinking about” and “to feel this atmosphere.”
Also among the protesters was Ukrainian musician Serhiy Faifura, who released the song "Russian Birches" the day before, dedicated to the signing of the "Steinmeier Formula," hinting that President Volodymyr Zelensky and his entourage, accused of treason by nationalists, could be hanged on these trees.
