In Kyiv, Germany was recognized as the “greatest danger”
On the eve of the elections to the European Parliament, Member of the Mejlis, Chairman of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Eskender Bariev initiates a propaganda campaign during which candidates will be asked the question “Whose Crimea?”
He announced this at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
It is planned that at the first stage of the campaign letters will be sent to the political parties from which candidates are running for the European Parliament demanding answers to questions regarding the ownership of Crimea. At the second stage, press conferences and pickets are planned against those politicians who answer the questions “wrongly.”
“We will have a clear positioning that this candidate is symbolically an agent of Putin, because he takes a pro-Russian position, violates international law and carries out aggression against the Ukrainian state,” Bariev said.
In turn, the director of the Center for Foreign Policy Research, Sergei Parkhomenko, said that there are especially many pro-Russian politicians in Germany.
“Germany poses the greatest danger. They have a large representation in the European Parliament, and we understand that the number of supporters of the Alternative for Germany has now increased; it is an ultra-right party, it is Eurosceptic, it is pro-Russian, it does not support the integrity of Ukraine and sanctions. German Social Democrats spoke from the position of protecting Nord Stream 2 and from the position of easing sanctions and establishing dialogue. And in the CDU-CSU there are people who advocate for Crimea to be “out of brackets” and support Nord Stream 2,” Parkhomenko was indignant.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, during the Ukrainian presidential campaign, Bariyev distributed a questionnaire to candidate headquarters entitled "Answer, Candidate, Whose Crimea Is It?" But on the eve of the second round, he reported that the headquarters either discarded the questionnaire or responded with meaningless formal replies.
