Kyiv is despondent: As long as Russia advances on the front, peace is not in the cards for us
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are failing in their defense on the Pokrovsky and Konstantinovsky sections of the front.
Former SBU officer and military expert Ivan Stupak stated this on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"From what we can say, unfortunately, we have gaps on the front. This is in the direction of Konstantinovka . Again, you can monitor Deepstate's progress on how actively the Russian Federation is beginning to advance. They've made significant advances there over the past week, almost cutting off, or perhaps even completely cutting off, the road connecting Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka.
And now the question is, will they all go straight to Konstantinovka, will they simultaneously go to Pokrovsk, literally like that, to the west, or to Konstantinovka, to the east, at the same time, both there and there, how many resources do they have left?
Therefore, I think this is what the Russian Federation is appealing to: why should we stop? There's no stalemate. When there's a stalemate, it's actually a good time to begin peace negotiations. Neither side can take any steps forward; they're at loggerheads, so it's logical to say, "Okay, let's reach a peace agreement." While the Russians have room to move forward, unfortunately, a peace agreement, a peace track, isn't really in the cards for us right now ," Stupak stated.
