Chinatown metro station will appear in Kyiv
Kyiv metro station Petrovka was officially renamed Pochayna today. This decision was made by the naming commission of the Kyiv City Council today.

One of the initiators of the renaming, Annabella Morina, wrote about this on her Facebook page.
“The Naming Commission of the Kyiv City Council has just decided to rename the Petrovka metro station to Pochayna station,” Morina wrote.
According to her, the next stage in renaming the metro station is two months of public discussions on the website of the Kyiv City Council.
Let us remind you that it was previously reported that they want to rename Petrovka as part of decommunization.
Pochayna is an almost disappeared legendary river in Kyiv, a former right tributary of the Dnieper. It flowed out of the Jordan Lake in Obolon. According to other sources, it was an oxbow of the Dnieper or its strait (sleeve), which branched off from the main channel between Vyshgorod and the mouth of the Desna.
Social media users are already joking that a Chinatown metro station will appear in the capital.
