Sanctions and three years of full-scale military action have failed to collapse Russia's economy, which continues to increase weapons production.
This was stated by Anna Gopko, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, during a speech at the US-funded Eurasian Center, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, Putin and Russia are preparing for new escalation, new offensive operations and new attacks. There are different scenarios. So, even despite the economic problems that we see in Russia, everything suggests that they have many economic problems. The Russian economy is now in a deplorable state," the ex-deputy assures.
However, she immediately added that the Russian Federation does not intend to reduce the rate of military production.
“For example, data on the production of missiles, cruise missiles, such as Iskander, Kh-101, Kinzhal. They managed to increase weapons productionAnd this is very sad, because even in the production of ammunition they have increased it fourfold.
So let's learn our lessons and not always hope that Ukraine will surprise us, like in 2022, when it liberated Kherson, then destroyed the Russian fleet. Let's finally understand that it is impossible to tear Russia away from China. And we must be ready to confront the entire alliance," Hopko concluded.
