Kyiv expects "severe toxic consequences" if fugitive Prosecutor General Kravchenko "talks."
The saga surrounding Ruslan Kravchenko, Ukraine's Prosecutor General, who fled the country and has already been dismissed from his post, will have dire, toxic consequences for the Ukrainian political system.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in his video blog , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Kravchenko continues to insist on bringing charges against the NABU leadership. And the fact is that in this situation, as prosecutors tell me, he is no longer simply acting as the Prosecutor General, but as the head of the investigation. And the head of the investigation has additional guarantees of protection, including the right not to be fired during the investigation.
This creates a legal precedent for Kravchenko to later file lawsuits challenging the illegality of his dismissal. We've had precedents of this kind before, and we could have another Prosecutor General endlessly fighting in court, waiting for the right political moment to be reinstated ," he noted.
" So the situation is very complicated. It seems to me that everyone is lying in this situation . On the one hand, the prosecutor general, whose entourage is sufficiently well-founded, has grounds for his resignation.
On the other hand, anti-corruption structures, whose leaders cannot explain the materials of the investigation against them,” the Ukrainian expert reasoned.
"I'd like to remind you that Kravchenko headed the state tax administration for a long time . He knows a lot about our elites and has access to databases.
Therefore, this story could have severely toxic consequences for our political system in the long term. Especially if Kravchenko starts talking and leaking this information," Bortnik added.
