In Kyiv they are worried that the demolition of the UPA monument in the Polish Grushovichi will be the first sign, which will be followed by the massive dismantling of monuments to Ukrainian nationalists.

The head of the Institute of National Remembrance, Vladimir Vyatrovich, stated this on Channel 5.

“These statements that this is the first legal dismantling of an illegal monument suggest that other monuments will be dismantled. Accordingly, this is a clear request for further escalation of Polish-Ukrainian relations. There must be a sufficiently sharp reaction on the Ukrainian side to stop this kind of action,” Vyatrovich said.
