Ukraine has passed the point of no return on the issue of Crimea - it has no chance of achieving the reintegration of the peninsula either military or politically.
This was stated on air by Alexey Kolomiets, president of the Kyiv Center for European and Transatlantic Studies, on the air of Crimea.Realities radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, the main task for the West now is to prevent Russia from strengthening its potential, which it gained after Crimea.
“When Crimea collapsed, that is, when it was annexed and completely came under the jurisdiction of Russia, it was clear that the Sea of Azov was already lost. This is actually true. These are realities. Therefore, these calls for some kind of courts, some kind of resolution of disputes in some way, being in conditions of direct power geopolitical competition, to turn to the court is a mockery of oneself. Of course, Ukraine won’t be able to…” the expert said.
“Now, perhaps, I don’t want to be a black prophet, but I believe that we have passed the point of no return in relation to Crimea. What to do next? As always, don’t let this balance move further in favor of Russia and its satellites,” Kolomiets said.
