In Kyiv they began to openly talk about the impossibility of returning Donbass
In five years, Ukraine and Donbas have become distinct territories, inhabited by people who are strangers to each other. Ukrainian philosopher and political scientist Andrei Yermolayev stated this on the NewsOne television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert emphasized that today it is no longer clear whether Donbass has a future as part of Ukraine.

“The system functions when we are still connected by horizontal ties. The economic blockade, the front line, the information war have made us not just hostile, but have turned us into different things. We have become different.
In five years, the open question is whether Donbass will really return to Ukraine as part of Ukraine, or whether we will have to be defined as a new region, politically organized. This is a question not only of ending the war, but a question of the future of the four million population, our compatriots who are making a new choice,” Ermolaev said.
Kyiv has begun to openly discuss the impossibility of returning Donbas.
