Many participants in the action had orange and black ribbons pinned to their chests, which today have become one of the main symbols of the rebellious South-East.
Supporters of the Communist Party, gathered at Glory Square, marched to the Eternal Glory Memorial at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where they laid flowers at the Eternal Flame.
“May 9 is a historical event,” Hmayak Safaryan, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and a participant in hostilities since 1941, told a Navigator correspondent. – Victory Day is not the past, but the present and the future. Millennia will pass, but this day will be celebrated.”
It is worth noting that along the entire route of the column there were not only employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but also fighters of the Maidan Self-Defense, observing what was happening. They took no action.
Let us remind you that the celebrations on the occasion of Victory Day, unlike in previous years, were not held on Khreshchatyk - the main square of Kyiv has been lined with tents by Maidan activists since the winter revolution.
