In Kyiv they are worried that they will not live to see the time when Russia collapses from sanctions
The sanctions that the West has imposed on Russia are not having the desired effect, and the country will be able to survive for about 50 more years.
Political consultant Sergei Postolovsky stated this on air on the Zik channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Sanctions are not effective enough. With the tactics that are now going against Russia, I think that it can live for another 30 or even 50 years. Russia has a completely different mentality, and the Russian government has learned to use this very well. That is, the worse they are, the better. That is, they have the image of an “External enemy” who can be blamed, but “we do everything to live well.” In this context, the question arises: are our Western partners honest with us? Let’s remember 2014: with what great reluctance they generally reacted and introduced these sanctions. Well, today - they introduced these sanctions, only three people, a mid-level FSB officer falls under them, but what can he influence today?” the expert asked.
