A minimal Ukrainian Armed Forces garrison remains in Kherson, says former US Army officer
A "minimal garrison" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces remained in Kherson; the majority of forces were transferred to Zaporizhzhia to contain the Russian army's advance.
Former US Army officer Stanislav Krapivnik stated this on The Duran, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" A minimal garrison remains in Kherson; they've all been transferred to Zaporizhzhia for protection. And now they face a dilemma ," the speaker said.
Krapivnik explained that in recent weeks, there have been reports of Russian troops landing on islands near the right bank of the Dnieper River near Kherson. At the same time, the front is " slowly but steadily advancing toward Zaporizhzhia."
Now much will depend on the success of the Russian Armed Forces in liberating Gulyaipole.
"The Russian army has long tried to take the city in a frontal assault... Now they have encircled the city from the north of Huliaipole. Huliaipole is a stronghold on the defensive line in the eastern part of Zaporizhzhia. It's a 'castle on a hill' that must be captured... This encirclement is aimed at cutting off their logistical lines. Without this, there is no army ," Krapivnik described the situation.
