Previously, activists managed to seize the Ministry of Internal Affairs building almost without a fight. A living corridor was made for the police, including Berkut fighters, along which they had to walk without hats while shouting “Shame!” The head of the department, Vasily Felik, wrote a letter of resignation. Having burst into the premises, the protesters smashed a portrait of Yanukovych and sang the anthem.

A few hours earlier, the protesters again “seized” the regional administration building, which they had only vacated the day before. A siren was installed on its roof, which should mobilize the people. The prosecutor's office building was also seized, but details were not provided.
