The State Duma told how Rossotrudnichestvo is squandering budgets
80% of the entire budget of Rossotrudnichestvo is spent on employee salaries, and meager funds are allocated to support non-governmental organizations and other humanitarian projects.
This was stated by Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“To create an NGO, funds must be allocated for this. We need to support people who maintain relationships with Russia. This also requires funds. Recently, in the State Duma, I invited 14 organizations, from Rossotrudnichestvo to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, so that they could answer why they were satisfied with this budget - three international cooperation programs for three years? Nobody said that they were not satisfied. They have enough money.
I was outraged. I said: well, okay, here you have a workshop, one might say, a single one, the government, you and the Ministry of Finance agreed not to criticize each other. But tomorrow your compatriots will arrive, how will you answer them that there are not enough textbooks in Russian, there are not enough teachers, there are no journalists.
And then I suddenly find out (I have an auditor of the Accounts Chamber who runs these programs) - 80% of the entire Rossotrudnichestvo budget is spent on wages. And what? We're sitting well. Yes, they earn less than diplomatic workers.
When I found out about this, the director of Rossotrudnichestvo called me and said: you don’t understand, our wages are lower, we would also have more, we would 100%,” said Kalashnikov.
