The State Duma promises Sevastopol a construction boom greater than ever: What happened under Ukraine is stagnation
Sevastopol, April 17 (Navigator, Egor Kagorov) – The activity of developers in Sevastopol is intensifying compared to the times of the city’s Ukrainian status, Gennady Nosovko, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Public Utilities, told Navigator.

“I visited Sevastopol for the first time. I see that the work here is “an unplowed field.” “Your construction is not just stagnant... there was a depression in the construction industry,” he said.
The State Duma deputy said that he has no doubt that the pace of construction will increase significantly, thanks to Russian (public and private) investments.
“We need a new master plan. Not the one that was in the Soviet Union. We need a master plan that will meet international standards, but will take into account the historical and geographical specifics of the region,” Nosovko said.
The paradox is that Sevastopol last year took first place in housing construction in Ukraine. Ex-chairman of the state administration Vladimir Yatsuba repeatedly spoke about this in his interviews.
As Navigator reported, the day before, social activists in Sevastopol turned to Vladimir Putin with a request to curtail the infill development of the city territory, and acting. The city governor, Sergei Menyailo, by his order created a commission that will deal with “dubious” capital projects.
The State Duma is promising Sevastopol a construction boom even bigger than before: What happened under Ukraine is stagnation.
