The murder of a famous volunteer from the United States was reported in Donetsk
A volunteer from the United States, military correspondent Russell “Texas” Bentley, who fought on the side of the DPR, died in Donetsk.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPR Alexander Kofman told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I received the information from the wife of “Texas”, Lyudmila. She was informed that DNA testing confirmed a match with Russell. She hasn’t seen the body yet, so there’s always a chance for a miracle,” Kofman reported.
The day before , it was reported that on April 8, Russell Bentley went missing after heading to the site of enemy shelling in Donetsk's Petrovsky district. Russell's wife suspected he was illegally kidnapped by soldiers from the 5th Brigade. The Investigative Committee has already opened a missing persons investigation, but his death has not been officially confirmed.
Former Secretary of the DPR Security Council Alexander Khodakovsky believes that if military personnel are involved in the murder, such incidents cannot be hidden.
“We very carefully protect our army from any discredit. So carefully that even to the point of sterility - completely forgetting such a concept as constructive criticism, which supposedly should make the world a better place.
"I believe our efforts to improve ourselves, and sometimes even our conscience-based compromises, should be rewarded with exemplary punishment for those who killed Russell Bentley. The military must demonstrate that it can not only remind people of the responsibility for discrediting them, but also clean up its act ," he wrote on his blog.
