Donetsk, May 31 (Navigator, Mikhail Shalyapin) – Today in Donetsk, on Lenin Square, a rally of thousands took place in support of the unity of the peoples of Donbass and Russia.

The flags of the DPR, the Russian Bloc party and Russia were unfurled in large numbers on the square. Those present loudly chanted “Donbass-Russia”, “Donbass and Russia are united”.
It is worth noting that this time there were no attempts on the part of the Ukrainian military to intimidate the demonstrators with military aircraft flights: it was relatively calm, and the sky was symbolically clear.
Speakers at the event expressed support for the existing course of Donetsk and the militia fighters. Among the speakers, Pavel Gubarev, Denis Pushilin, Alexander Boroday and the head of the secretariat of the Coordination Council of the South-East movement, Alexander Kofman, stood out.
Their appearance on the podium, as well as their performance, was met with applause and chants of “Well done!”
The leaders of the DPR demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities in the Donbass and Lugansk regions and the withdrawal of troops participating in the operation, which led to massive casualties among civilians.
The readiness to follow the course of defending one’s own positions and further integration with Russia was also unanimously expressed. Those gathered in the square emotionally and with obvious approval greeted the words of the republic’s leadership.
