Donetsk, August 24 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) –  By the resolution of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers of the proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, the national holiday of Ukraine – Independence Day – was canceled on the territory of the republic.

The official website of the DPR reports this. It is also reported that the next day off, August 25, is a working day in the DPR.

Also today, an anti-fascist rally was announced in Donetsk. “Dedicated to the struggle of DPR citizens against Ukrainian Nazism,” the DPR press center said in a statement. According to eyewitnesses, yesterday they began to install broken military equipment on Lenin Square.

As Navigator reported, a military parade is taking place in Kyiv today, despite the protests that preceded it.
