Those gathered hold Russian flags and the banners of the “Russian Bloc”, as well as posters “Rise up Donbass, let’s tear up the Bandera scum”, “Berkut is with the people!” People with Berkut”, “Donbass with Russia”, etc.
At one point during the rally, “regional” deputy Nikolai Levchenko was expelled from the stage. Social activist Pavel Gubarev called not to obey the Verkhovna Rada, the Donetsk regional council and the “oligarchic clique that recognized the new government.”
Activists removed the Ukrainian flag from the flagpole at the Donetsk Regional State Administration and hoisted the Russian flag there. The mayor of Donetsk, under pressure from protesters, announced an emergency session of the City Council, Ostrov reports.

Similar pro-Russian actions took place today in Mariupol. Their participants also raised the Russian flag at the City Council. A session is scheduled for tomorrow.
