The head of the Greek government called on the country's residents to reject the demands of international creditors in a referendum to be held on July 6. European leaders have warned that failure to meet creditor conditions would mean Greece leaving the euro zone.

Greece today may officially enter into default on loans provided by the International Monetary Fund, and today the rescue program for the Greek economy adopted by the IMF and the EU expires.
