Ukrainian refugees mostly live on unemployment benefits in Germany, which ultimately are not much less than the salary of an ordinary German worker.

This was stated by René Springer, a member of parliament from the Alternative for Germany party, speaking in the Bundestag, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" If a German family member wakes up at 6 a.m., works 40 hours a week, and at the end of the month has little more money in their pocket than a Ukrainian family living on civilian income, then that's an attack on our country's sense of justice . More than 700 Ukrainians currently receive civilian income. For a large family, this means up to four thousand euros a month, including rent, heating, housing, health insurance, daycare, additional services, and much more.

"A full package of services, financed by German taxpayers. That is, from the people who go to work every day, pay taxes, and keep this country running... Year after year, 6 billion euros of civilian money for Ukrainians, money that our own people lack. And what has this measure led to? Only one in four Ukrainians has a job. Almost 60% live permanently on state assistance ," Springer stated.
