Air defense expert Yuri Knutov announced this on the Baltnews channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"For now, we're using air defense systems. Pantsir and Tor systems are working well. In the near future, we're focusing on combat lasers.
Someday we'll make a breakthrough in this area, and there will be quite a few of them. Right now, they're quite expensive, and they lack the capacity. But the problem will be solved.

If a drone revolution has occurred now, then in the future we might see a return to the methods of warfare that existed before . Only the tank crew will be either AI or remotely piloted. The same goes for aviation.
“But one way or another, we are in for some pretty serious changes,” Knutov said.
" The enemy isn't sleeping either. They're currently developing ways to deliver drones deep into our country's rear using weather balloons and hot air balloons. They'll fly at very high altitudes, making them difficult to detect and shoot down.
In Soviet times, the S-75 and S-200 systems were used, and interceptor aircraft were used. But those days are over; now the emphasis is on lasers. The Americans recently shot down two weather balloons using ground-based lasers.
