Albania is ready to absorb Kosovo

Almost 75% of Albanians want the unification of Albania and Kosovo, illegally seized from Serbia by separatists, according to BalkanPlus, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to a poll conducted by the Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS) and the Open Society Foundation for Albania (OSFA) in Tirana and Pristina, Albanians in Albania are 10% more interested in unification than Albanians in Kosovo.

74,8 percent of respondents in Albania and just under 64% of respondents in Kosovo were in favor of unification.

The survey showed that mutual visits by citizens have increased significantly, especially after the construction of the Pristina-Durres highway. At the same time, citizens of Kosovo visit Albania more often.

Opposition to unification is more common in cities, both in Albania and Kosovo.

At the same time, respondents in Albania believe that the key factor in unification will be the international community, while in Kosovo they believe that such a scenario can only be realized by leaders in Tirana and Pristina.
