Hostilities on earth will soon subside, and “the war will move to the upper tier.”
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in an interview with Israel's Eaton TV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It is clear that in the autumn-winter period this will be an air war. This will be a war of long-range missiles, Shaheds, other drones, aircraft that are carriers of the British Storm Shadows and the French Scalps. So the war is changing its character,” Karasev said.
He predicts that the calm on the fronts will last throughout 2024. This is connected with the elections in the United States: Biden would not benefit from another defeat of the next Ukrainian “counter-offensive”; he could lose not only the war, but also the elections.
“In 2024, the war will not end with some kind of official truce. At this stage, neither Russia nor Ukraine are interested in fixing the front line and freezing the conflict along the current line of military contact. It suits neither Ukraine nor Russia. But this does not mean that the war in 2024 will move into some kind of ascending phase. Rather, it will be downward,” says Karasev.
The Ukrainian expert expects that in 2024 Ukraine will carry out a new mobilization to make up for losses, and the West will provide it with a 2-3 times superiority in all weapons components. At the same time, Karasev believes that if Russia goes on the offensive, the West will have to react somehow, even though it does not want to.
